Mindy: Hi, I’m Mindy Warden. And I own MKW Staging and Redesign. I decided to go into staging and redesign because I have a love of everything home and everything design. And I’ve been doing this for years. And when I was actually selling my house, a realtor at the time told me that I should stage all of her listings. So I looked into the opportunity to stage, and I decided to do it full-time. I find it interesting and fun when I can do a remix in a room for a very low budget, and it just brings a new life into a space. And that’s the exact same thing that staging does for a homeowner. Even though they are going to be moving, it actually invigorates them and gets them excited about the process, which can be stressful at times. So it’s an opportunity to go into a home and to really change up the space and make it appeal to a large buyer audience.

Dana: Hi, I’m Dana Vespremi. And I’m a realtor with the Charles Reinhart Company. And I’m a big believer in the benefits of hiring a professional stager to assist my clients in getting their homes ready for sale. Mindy: At MKW Staging and Redesign, we use a phased approach for every job that we go into. So Phase One is working with all of the existing accessories that a homeowner has. Phase Two would be recommending minor purchases, things that would only enhance the look and feel of the home. And Phase Three would be cosmetic changes, anything that absolutely has to be done in order for the home to sell, something that a buyer would notice right away walking through. So you want to make sure that the homeowners are educated on the process and that they can feel comfortable when they’re making their decision on which way they want to go when they do stage their house.

Dana: Let’s face it. A lot of today’s home buyers are watching HGTV, and so they have certain expectations of what they expect a home to look like when they walk in.
